Key Responsibilities
- Perform residential cleaning services in client homes following the established methods and quality standards known as the Windsor Way.
- Clean homes thoroughly with attention to fine detail ensuring all surfaces, floors, and fixtures are properly sanitized and presented to the highest standard.
- Manage your own daily schedule typically cleaning two homes per day working independently without direct daily supervision.
- Use appropriate cleaning products and techniques for different surfaces understanding the importance of removing bacteria and viruses to maintain healthy home environments.
- Communicate professionally with clients demonstrating a helping and caring attitude that reflects the company’s commitment to exceptional service.
- Maintain reliable transportation to arrive at job sites on time and manage travel efficiently between appointments.
- Follow safety protocols and use proper techniques to protect both yourself and client properties while performing cleaning duties.
- Complete assigned work within the scheduled timeframes demonstrating effective time management and organizational skills.
Qualifications
Candidates must be in very good physical condition to sustain frequent kneeling, bending, and physical activity throughout the workday. The ability to speak, read, and write English is essential. A reliable vehicle is required though candidates may also be prepared to use public transit following a central schedule. Applicants must have no unusual fear of household pets and no allergies to dust, mold, or pets. Candidates must be bondable and able to obtain a basic security clearance check. Strong references are required. Experience in a job requiring physical hand eye coordination is important. Candidates must demonstrate an eye for fine detail cleaning and a willingness to learn the company’s established cleaning methods. The ability to work independently with no direct daily supervision is essential along with a helping, caring attitude toward customers.
Benefits and Perks
New staff start at a competitive base hourly rate of CAD 20 to CAD 24 per hour depending on experience. Cleaning technicians who use their own vehicles also receive a generous travel allowance on top of the hourly wage. After an apprentice period, all employees become eligible for a benefit package including prescription drug coverage, eye care, basic dental care, life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment coverage. All employees receive Canada Pension Plan contributions, nine paid statutory holidays, two weeks of paid vacation, two paid personal days, Workers Compensation Coverage, Employment Insurance, and Ontario Health Insurance coverage. On the job training is provided to help you develop your skills and master the Windsor Way of cleaning. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with evenings and weekends always free. Most staff work six to eight hours per day typically starting between 7:30 and 8:30 am with schedules tailored to suit your part of the city and preferred hours.
