Key Responsibilities
As an Apprentice Carpenter with us, you will learn all aspects of the trade through hands-on involvement. Your duties will evolve as you progress but will include:
- Assisting our experienced tradespeople with all stages of residential renovation projects, from demolition and framing to finishing work.
- Learning to accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials such as timber, plasterboard, and fixtures.
- Safely and correctly using a range of hand tools, power tools, and equipment under supervision.
- Helping to maintain a clean, organised, and safe worksite at all times.
- Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and tools to and from job sites (a ute is desirable for this).
- Observing and learning building codes, construction methods, and the high-quality standards we set for every project.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who shows real potential and the right attitude:
- A strong, demonstrable interest in building and carpentry as a long-term career.
- Some basic, hands-on experience using common tools (hammers, drills, saws, etc.) is required.
- A highly motivated, reliable, and punctual work ethic with a keen willingness to learn.
- Good physical fitness for a demanding role that involves manual labour, lifting, and being on your feet all day.
- A positive attitude and the ability to follow instructions carefully and work well as part of a team.
- Owning a reliable ute and some basic personal tools is highly desirable but not a strict requirement to apply.
