Key Responsibilities
Your role is to execute all painting and preparation work to the highest standard of quality and durability.
- Make thorough on-site preparations, including covering fixtures, furniture, and flooring to protect from paint.
- Prepare all surfaces by scraping, sanding, and removing old paint to ensure a smooth, clean base.
- Repair drywall damage, and fill cracks and holes with appropriate compounds.
- Skillfully apply paint, stain, and varnish to various interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers as required.
- Select, mix, and match colors and finishes according to specifications and project needs.
- Strictly adhere to all health and safety protocols, especially when working on ladders and with materials.
Qualifications
We are seeking a professional with a solid foundation in the painting trade.
- Proven experience as a professional painter is required.
- Excellent knowledge of painting materials (paints, primers, sealants) and expertise in selecting, mixing, and applying them.
- Solid understanding of commercial and/or residential painting techniques and surface preparation.
- Proficiency in using all standard painting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Manual dexterity, excellent balance for working on ladders and scaffolding, and a conscientious nature with great attention to detail.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
