Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you will be crucial to our production process. Your core duties will include:
- Carefully reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements fully.
- Measuring, cutting, and preparing metal components using appropriate tools to ensure a perfect fit before welding.
- Operating and maintaining various welding equipment, proficiently executing techniques such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welding to join metal parts with precision.
- Conducting thorough inspections of your own welds to ensure they meet our high standards for strength, quality, and visual appearance.
- Performing post-weld tasks, including grinding, shaping, and polishing metal to achieve a smooth, finished look as required.
- Strictly adhering to all company and industry safety protocols, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring all tools and equipment are in safe working order.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a Welder, with a solid portfolio or demonstrable skill in various welding techniques.
- The ability to accurately read and work from technical drawings and engineering blueprints is essential.
- Strong knowledge of different metal properties and appropriate welding methods for each.
- A steadfast commitment to workplace safety, including the consistent use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and handling heavy materials.
- A relevant certification (e.g., TESDA NC II Welding) is a significant advantage.
