Superior Facility Services is seeking a permanent casual Housekeeping and Laundry Aide for the Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron, Ontario. What You Will Be Doing
- You will maintain the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facility, including all flooring and common areas.
- You will follow job routines to ensure consistent cleaning standards throughout the building.
- You will launder and deliver facility linens and residents’ personal clothing.
- You will sweep, mop, and wash floors to keep them clean and safe.
- You will dust furniture and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
- You will clean and disinfect fixtures, bathrooms, elevators, and other areas following infection control practices.
- You will disinfect rooms and other spaces as required.
- You will handle and report lost and found items according to procedures.
- You will pick up debris and empty trash containers throughout the facility.
- You will follow all infection control practices, especially during pandemic conditions, and adhere to all COVID-19 precautions and policies.
What We Are Looking For
- You are willing to work in a long-term care facility during a pandemic and adhere to all COVID-19 precautions and policies.
- You must provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Check prior to starting (note: this can take up to 6 weeks to complete).
- You must provide a 2-Step TB Test.
- You are able to stand for long periods and handle the physical demands of the role, including pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, and walking.
- You genuinely enjoy working with seniors and bring a positive attitude to work every day.
- Experience is considered an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- You are reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented.
- No degree is required we value your work ethic and dedication.
