Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Services Manager, you will play a key role in upholding our high standards of care and hygiene. Your responsibilities will include:
- Thoroughly cleaning and preparing guest rooms, communal apartments, kitchens, and common areas to ensure a pristine and welcoming environment.
- Building warm, supportive, and cooperative relationships with families, staff, and volunteers.
- Performing basic equipment maintenance and managing cleaning supplies and linen stock.
- Completing associated administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of housekeeping operations.
- Working as part of a close-knit team on a rotating roster between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM.
Qualifications

- A caring, empathetic nature and a genuine desire to support families in need.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and a respectful, discreet manner.
- Prior cleaning experience is preferred, but a willingness to learn and maintain high standards is essential.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to be a supportive team player.
- The physical fitness to carry out a range of cleaning duties.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the full employment period.
- Offers of employment are subject to satisfactory NZ Police Vetting. We also recommend being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to protect our vulnerable families.
