Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for executing a variety of welding and metal fabrication tasks to precise standards. Your key duties will include:

  • Operating manual, semi-automatic, and automated welding equipment using SMAW, GTAW (TIG), GMAW, and FCAW processes.
  • Working with diverse materials including aluminum alloys, stainless steel, and heavy ferrous metals.
  • Using oxygen arc cutting (AOC) equipment and operating metal shaping machinery such as brakes and shears.
  • Reading work orders and drawings to produce components that meet exact specifications.
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship with consistent attention to detail.
  • Contributing as a reliable, safety-conscious member of our fabrication team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a seasoned welder with proven hands-on ability. Requirements include:

  • Extensive, proven experience in a manufacturing, marine, or heavy industrial welding environment.
  • Proficiency in SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW processes on the materials listed.
  • Experience operating oxy-arc (AOC) cutting equipment and basic metal shaping machines.
  • Must have own reliable transportation; public transit is not available to our location.
  • Must supply your own basic personal safety equipment (steel-toed boots, welding helmet).
  • A detail-oriented, client-focused mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • While formal education is not required, a solid track record of experience is essential.
