Key Responsibilities
You will be the key to achieving the clean, strong welds our work demands. Your primary duties will include:
- Performing high-precision TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel according to specifications.
- Preparing materials, setting up equipment, and selecting correct parameters for each job.
- Reading and accurately interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Inspecting your own work and materials to ensure joints and finished welds meet quality standards.
- Employing techniques to minimise heat distortion and achieve smooth, clean weld finishes.
- Performing related fabrication tasks such as cutting, grinding, and polishing.
- Strictly adhering to all safety protocols, maintaining PPE, and keeping your work area organised.
Qualifications
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with solid foundational skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven hands-on experience as a TIG Welder, with a strong understanding of GTAW processes.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols accurately.
- A thorough knowledge of welding safety practices and proper materials handling.
- A certification in TIG welding (CWB or equivalent) is a valuable asset.
- A strong, independent work ethic coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
