Key Responsibilities
You’ll be a key part of our daily operations, ensuring materials get where they need to go safely and efficiently. Your core duties will include:
- Operating a truck and trailer in full compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Safely loading, securing, and unloading cargo to prevent damage during transport.
- Performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintaining accurate logs and paperwork.
- Transporting materials and equipment to various job sites on schedule.
- Assisting with general shop duties such as organizing materials, cleaning equipment, and helping with basic upkeep when not scheduled for a run.
- Collaborating closely with the team to ensure all operations run smoothly and safely.
Qualifications
We are looking for a professional driver with the right licenses and a strong sense of responsibility. You must have:
- A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements for Combination Vehicles and Air Brakes.
- The ability to operate a manual transmission (stick shift).
- A current, up-to-date DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Proven experience safely operating a semi-truck and trailer.
- Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and a commitment to compliance.
- The willingness to help with shop tasks and general labor when needed.
- The physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform all duties of the job.
- A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred qualifications include: Experience in the construction industry, basic mechanical knowledge for minor maintenance, and forklift certification (or willingness to obtain it).
