Key Responsibilities
You will be the vital link between our shop and our job sites, wearing two hats to keep our projects moving. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Safely operating a delivery vehicle to transport wall panels and associated materials to residential construction sites.
- Using a forklift to assist with the careful loading and unloading of panels at both the shop and job sites.
- Building and assembling wood or metal framing components in our panel shop according to precise blueprints and specifications.
- Measuring, cutting, and securing materials using a variety of hand and power tools like nail guns, saws, and drills.
- Inspecting your own framing work for accuracy, alignment, and quality.
- Strictly adhering to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety procedures at all times.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work area in both the shop and your vehicle.
Qualifications
We are looking for a dependable professional with a specific and valuable combination of skills. You must have:
- A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a clean driving record.
- Forklift certification and experience operating a forklift safely.
- The physical ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent navigation skills and strong time management to ensure efficient deliveries.
- Proven ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage your time effectively.
- Previous experience in framing, carpentry, or a construction-manufacturing environment is a significant plus.
- Skill in safely using common hand and power tools.
