Key Responsibilities
In this vital role, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of fire extinguisher servicing for our clients. Your key duties will include:
- Conducting thorough inspections, maintenance, and hydrostatic testing of portable fire extinguishers at client sites.
- Installing new fire extinguishers and associated equipment according to Australian Standards and client specifications.
- Performing repairs, recharging, and refilling of extinguishers as required.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed service records, compliance certificates, and job documentation.
- Providing exceptional, professional customer service and clear communication to clients on site.
- Ensuring all work is performed in strict compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.
- Assisting with other fire safety service and installation tasks as part of the wider team.
Qualifications
We are looking for a qualified and reliable professional with the following:
- Essential: Relevant trade qualifications in Fire Protection, Mechanical Services, or a related field.
- Essential: A current QBCC Licence (Fire Protection – or relevant class).
- Proven experience as a Fire Extinguisher Technician, with strong diagnostic and repair skills across various extinguisher types.
- An unwavering commitment to quality, safety, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus.
- The ability to work autonomously with honesty and reliability, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- A current driver’s licence.
