Key Responsibilities
You will be a key member of our Mount Morgan crew, tackling a diverse range of projects. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Safely operating a variety of plant and machinery, including excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and trucks (with an MR licence) on major water and wastewater projects.
- Performing essential labouring tasks such as pipe laying, concreting, trenching, and general site preparation and clean-up.
- Assisting with the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of critical water pipelines and treatment plant infrastructure.
- Contributing to a proactive safety culture by identifying hazards, assessing risks, and consistently following safe work practices on every job.
- Working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team to efficiently complete projects and respond to maintenance needs.
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated individual with the right mix of skills and attitude:
- Proven experience in general construction or maintenance labouring, supported by relevant operational tickets such as an MR Truck Licence, and tickets for Excavator, Backhoe, and Skid Steer operation.
- A strong, demonstrated commitment to safe work practices with the ability to recognise and mitigate hazards.
- A positive, reliable team player who enjoys physical, outdoor work and is motivated to learn and take on diverse tasks.
- While not essential, experience with water and sewerage infrastructure maintenance is highly regarded.
- The successful applicant must complete a satisfactory National Police Check.
