Key Responsibilities
You will be a key contributor to the safe and productive execution of a major underground development project.
- Operate underground mining equipment safely and productively in accordance with all site and company procedures.
- Demonstrate a high level of competency in your specific trade or operating role (e.g., shuttle car, continuous miner, SMV, LHD operations).
- Maintain a strict, uncompromising focus on safety, actively participating in risk management and adhering to all WHS policies.
- Work collaboratively within a team to meet production targets and project milestones, contributing to a positive site culture.
- Conduct pre-start checks, basic maintenance reporting, and ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards.
- Commit to the project roster, which includes weekend work and attractive swing patterns such as 7 days on, 7 days off.
Qualifications
This role requires proven underground coal experience and the right tickets.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in an underground coal environment is essential.
- Relevant, current tickets and demonstrated experience operating equipment such as Shuttle Cars, Continuous Miners, SMVs, or LHDs are highly regarded.
- A minimum C Class Driver’s Licence.
- A proven, demonstrable commitment to safety policies and procedures in underground coal mining.
- An outcome-focused, professional attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills.
- The ability to meet all company and client WHS responsibilities and pass relevant site medicals and checks.
