Thomas Scaffolding is seeking a reliable and versatile Truck Driver – Yardman to join our team in Tamworth. This is a unique hybrid position where you’ll split your time between managing our yard, delivering essential equipment across the region, and supporting our scaffolding crews on-site. Key Responsibilities

In this diverse role, no two days are the same. Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Safely operating company trucks (up to semi-trailer configurations) to deliver and collect scaffolding equipment to and from job sites as per schedules.
  • Picking gear from lists and safely loading/unloading trucks using a forklift or Moffett.
  • Performing general yard maintenance and organisation to ensure a safe, efficient workspace.
  • Assisting with periodic stocktakes to manage inventory levels accurately.
  • Providing valuable manual labour assistance to our scaffolding teams on-site when required.
  • Coordinating effectively with the yard and site teams to meet all deadlines.

Qualifications

We are looking for a team player who brings the right attitude and skills:

  • Essential licences: A current HC (Heavy Combination) Licence and a Forklift Licence. A White Card (General Construction Induction) is also required.
  • Proven reliability, a strong work ethic, and a respectful, trustworthy nature.
  • A demonstrated safety-conscious attitude with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • The ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Experience operating a Moffett is highly desirable but not essential.
