Our team provides Heat pump, Refrigeration, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry services to a variety of major clients ranging from the education and government sector to commercial buildings and state-of-the-art facilities across the country. We are currently recruiting for a Heat Pump Installer to join our Queenstown-based team. This is a full-time, permanent role offering competitive pay of $40-$50 per hour depending on experience, plus paid birthday leave and life and critical illness cover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently, effectively, and safely carry out Heat pump Mechanical installation work, ensuring work meets relevant quality, budget, and safety standards.
  • Enthusiastically expedite all works in a professional and tradesman-like manner to a level of quality that meets current accepted commercial/industry standards.
  • Work unsupervised or as part of a team to deliver high-quality Heat pump Mechanical installation works.
  • Manage your own time effectively to meet deadlines, with willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, customers, and the general public.
  • Champion the continued development and delivery of the Company’s guiding principles.
  • Install and maintain Heat pump, VRF, and Mechanical Plant systems.
  • Perform commercial installation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Respond to and satisfy customer requests professionally and promptly.
  • Use hand and power equipment safely and effectively.
  • Work within Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • NZ Qualification in Electrical, Heat pump, or Refrigeration required.
  • Valid, unrestricted NZ Drivers Licence essential.
  • Experience in installation and maintenance of Heat pump, VRF, and Mechanical Plant.
  • Commercial installation and maintenance experience required.
  • Experience with building services specialising in mechanical systems.
  • Experience with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Experience in responding to and satisfying customer requests.
  • Experience using hand and power equipment safely.
  • Experience working within Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound industry and product knowledge.
  • Safety-focused at all times.
  • High degree of initiative and ability to think clearly under pressure.
  • Team player with positive attitude.
