Key Responsibilities
- Operate cleaning machines including carpet cleaning machines, polishing machines, pressure cleaners, pressure washers, steam cleaners, and waxing machines to clean vehicles thoroughly.
- Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors ensuring all surfaces, carpets, upholstery, and exterior finishes are properly cleaned and presented.
- Perform minor repairs to vehicles as needed including addressing small issues related to cleaning equipment and vehicle components.
- Use power tools and other equipment safely and effectively to achieve high quality cleaning and detailing results.
- Inspect vehicles before and after cleaning to ensure all work meets quality standards and client expectations.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues or needed repairs promptly.
- Follow safety procedures when operating machinery and handling cleaning products to protect yourself and vehicle surfaces.
- Work efficiently to complete assigned vehicles within scheduled timeframes while maintaining attention to detail.
Qualifications
A secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is required. Candidates must have one year to less than two years of experience in vehicle cleaning, detailing, or a related field. Experience with carpet cleaning machines, polishing machines, power tools, pressure cleaners, pressure washers, steam cleaners, and waxing machines is essential. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada. A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently are important qualities. Physical fitness is required to perform cleaning duties including standing, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods. Reliability and a commitment to delivering quality work are essential.
