Numbers, paperwork, and organisation they might not be the most glamorous part of a farm, but without them, nothing runs smoothly. Comcrop is looking for a Bookkeeping and Administration professional to join our team at our Woodlands farm. This is a hybrid role, with two days on-site each week and the rest worked remotely by agreement. You’ll keep our finances in order, support our people through payroll and HR tasks, and help the farm managers stay on top of the administration that keeps operations moving. What You’ll Be Doing – Finance
Vendors
- Enter all vendor invoices into our system promptly and accurately.
- Process payments to vendors in a timely manner.
Customers
- Create customer invoices as soon as they’re needed.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure we’re paid within credit terms.
- Prepare monthly statements of account for customers.
- Submit e-invoices to the Vendors@Gov government portal.
Bookkeeping
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to keep records accurate.
- Maintain proper filing and record retention everything needs to be findable.
- Keep the fixed asset register up to date.
- Ensure QuickBooks is current and reflects the true state of our finances.
- Prepare year-end balance sheet schedules for audit purposes.
Payroll and HR
- Maintain employment contracts and all employee-related documents, ensuring compliance with MOM standards.
- Calculate and process payroll for the team within agreed timeframes.
- Keep the HRIS system updated with timesheets, leave records, and other data.
- Assist with tasks related to engaging foreign workers.
- Support recruitment activities as needed from job posts to interview coordination.
- Submit monthly CPF contributions on time.
- Handle year-end submission of Employee Income Records to IRAS through the Auto-Inclusion Scheme (AIS).
Compliance
- Lodge GST returns within required deadlines.
- Manage insurance renewals workers’ compensation, general insurance, and any other policies.
What You’ll Be Doing – Administration
Support the General Manager and Farm Manager with a range of administrative tasks that keep the farm running smoothly. This could include:
- Sourcing quotes and identifying vendors for goods and services the team needs.
- Liaising with vendors or customers on behalf of Comcrop to get the best outcomes.
- Collecting and distributing information relevant to farm operations.
- Maintaining preventative maintenance schedules and keeping a list of trusted vendors for repairs and maintenance.
- Supporting staff and management in creating an efficient, positive workplace culture.
Key Requirements
Previous Experience
- Working as a bookkeeper you know your way around ledgers, invoices, and reconciliations.
- Processing payroll and understanding what’s required to get it right.
- Working in a general admin role, juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Thriving in small organisations and teams, where everyone wears multiple hats.
- Calculating and lodging GST and other compliance documents.
- Dealing with insurance matters renewals, claims, and understanding policies.
- Knowledge of Singapore HR compliance requirements, including MOM regulations.
- Using internet banking platforms confidently.
Personal Qualities
- Self-starter who can work independently and manage your own time.
- Strong Excel and Word skills you’re comfortable with spreadsheets and documents.
- Organised and detail-oriented; you notice when something doesn’t add up.
- Reliable and trustworthy, handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Good communicator, able to work with team members across different roles.
Working Arrangement
- Location: Woodlands farm (2 days on-site per week)
- Remote Work: Balance of hours can be worked remotely, subject to manager agreement
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Salary Range: $1,300 – $1,700 per month
