Car Maintenance Technician Required In Australia

What the Job Involves

  • Diagnosing vehicle issues: You’ll inspect engines and mechanical or electrical components to figure out what’s wrong and how to fix it properly.
  • Performing preventive maintenance: This includes engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations and replacements, wheel balancing, and changing filters to keep vehicles running smoothly.
  • Testing and inspecting vehicles: You’ll check vehicles regularly to make sure equipment stays reliable and available for use.
  • Keeping accurate records: You’ll maintain detailed logs of all services and repairs completed on each vehicle.

What You Must Have

  • At least 1 year of working experience in automobile repair and maintenance.
  • A high school diploma or higher education level.
  • Japanese language proficiency at N4 Level or higher this means passing the JFT Basic A2 or JLPT N4. This is non-negotiable.
  • Automobile Repair and Maintenance Prometric certification also required and non-negotiable.
  • Preference given to those with experience repairing trucks and buses if you’ve worked on larger vehicles, that’s a strong advantage.
  • Ex-TITP or Ex-JITCO Trainee status is welcome. If you’ve already completed technical training in Japan, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.

What You Should Know

  • This role has strict requirements. If you don’t have both the N4 Japanese certification and the Prometric credential, your application won’t move forward.
