Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair of ground support equipment within an airport environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and operational.
  • Conduct fault finding, mechanical repairs, fabrication, and welding on a range of mobile and fixed equipment including tugs, belt loaders, ground power units, and air start units.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Work within a 24-7 operation on a rotating roster, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a strong safety focus in all activities.
  • Collaborate with team members and support a positive, team oriented work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Qualifications

Relevant trade qualification as a Fitter or Boilermaker is essential. Experience in heavy equipment, mobile plant, transport, mining, or GSE maintenance is required. Strong fault finding and mechanical repair skills are essential. Proficiency in fabrication and welding is required. A safety focused, reliable, and team oriented attitude with a strong work ethic is essential. Full Australian working rights are mandatory.
