Key Responsibilities

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating equipment safely and efficiently to meet project goals.

  • Operate Motor Graders, Dozers, and Trackhoes, including equipment with GPS Trimble systems.
  • Perform civil construction tasks according to project specifications and safety standards.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with the construction team to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Adapt to changing technology and updates, maintaining proficiency with new systems.
  • Follow all company policies, safety rules, and procedures.
  • Work various shifts, including nights and weekends, in any weather condition as required.

Qualifications and Experience

We’re looking for an experienced operator with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the physical stamina to meet job demands.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience, including Motor Graders, Dozers, and Trackhoes.
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education providing equivalent background.
  • 21+ years of age.
  • Ability to keep up with changing technology and equipment updates.
  • Strength and stamina to work with heavy equipment and in awkward positions, including walking, lifting, twisting, turning, and climbing ladders.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
  • Self-starting, organized, and capable of working independently or in a team setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight time constraints.
  • Willingness to work any shift, including nights and weekends, in any weather condition.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and comply with written information such as safety rules, operation manuals, and maintenance instructions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and/or alcohol test.
  • Must pass a criminal history background check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
