Machine Operator Required In Canada

Cerelia USA’s brand new food production plant in Whitehall, Ohio is hiring for 2nd shift, and we’re looking for people to join the team. This facility is dedicated to producing rolled dough products think pizza, pie, and pastry dough along with cookie dough, all under the Jus-Rol brand you’ve probably seen in grocery stores. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Starting each shift right: You’ll inspect equipment before mixing begins to make sure everything is clean, working properly, and free of foreign material. You’ll log your findings on a mobile app or tablet.
  • Keeping dough consistent: You’ll adjust processing equipment to make sure every batch meets quality standards and customer specs.
  • Tracking important data: You’ll document lot numbers, raw dough temperatures, and fat percentages, and let the production supervisor know if anything seems off.
  • Running quality checks: You’ll perform on-line bake-offs and compare the results to quality standards.
  • Operating equipment: You’ll follow standard procedures to run high-speed processing and packaging machinery.
  • Troubleshooting issues: If a machine isn’t working right, you’ll help diagnose the problem and work with maintenance to get it fixed.
  • Calibrating systems: You’ll adjust processing and packaging systems as needed to hit required specs.
  • Keeping things clean: You’ll maintain an organized workspace, perform changeovers, and clean equipment between runs—including disassembly and reassembly when needed.
  • Logging downtime: You’ll use a CMMS system to track equipment issues and production delays so we can improve over time.
  • Sanitizing thoroughly: Between production runs, you’ll make sure machines are properly sanitized.
  • Using technology: Experience with SAP-based barcode scanners is a plus, but we’ll train the right person.

What You’ll Bring

  • A willingness to learn and follow standard food production procedures.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stack pans, and carry ingredient containers throughout your shift.
  • Comfort with physical tasks like standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting for extended periods.
  • The ability to climb stairs or ladders and work at heights using platforms or personnel lifts.
  • Attention to detail when inspecting equipment, documenting data, and running quality checks.
  • A commitment to safety following lock out tag out procedures, handling cleaning chemicals properly, and reporting any unsafe conditions.
  • Reliability and a willingness to work 2nd shift schedules, including 8-hour or 10-hour shifts.
  • The ability to commute to Whitehall, Ohio or relocate before starting work.
