Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be integral to our fabrication quality and success. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing welding on carbon and stainless steel materials in strict accordance with ASME and CWB weld procedures, under the direct oversight of ESFL’s weld supervision.
  • Utilizing key processes such as Gas-shielded Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW-G) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
  • Participating in job-specific training to enhance skills and adapt to various welding techniques.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and drawings accurately.
  • Contributing to a culture of safety and quality in all tasks.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified welder who is eager to grow within a unionized environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience with FCAW-G and GMAW (MIG) processes on carbon and stainless steel.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • A self-motivated, results-oriented attitude and a willingness to receive constructive feedback for skill development.
  • Experience with other processes (SAW, Air Carbon Arc Gouging, Oxy-fuel/Plasma cutting, weld automation) is a strong asset.
  • Post-secondary education in welding or a related field is an asset.
  • The successful candidate must be willing to become a member of the applicable trade union prior to commencing work.
