Key Responsibilities
- Deliver cartons of pet food to stores, handling loads ranging from 12kg to 16kg per carton
- Unload up to 400 cartons per day by hand while maintaining safety and proper lifting techniques
- Drive company vehicles up to 150km from the Henderson factory to complete deliveries
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct routine checks, and report any maintenance issues
- Complete one delivery run per day, servicing approximately 20 customer locations
- Start work between 4.30 AM and 6.30 AM and ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and on schedule
- Work independently while following company delivery procedures and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Valid Class 2 driver’s license required with eligibility to operate commercial vehicles
- Clean driving record demonstrating safe and responsible driving habits
- Physically capable of handling and unloading heavy cartons consistently throughout the day
- Previous experience in delivery driving or warehouse handling is beneficial but not strictly required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently without direct supervision
- Strong organizational skills to manage deliveries, vehicle upkeep, and paperwork efficiently
