Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you will be essential to the completion and quality of our projects. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Preparing surfaces for painting using various industrial materials and techniques, including abrasive blasting and cleaning with high-pressure equipment.
- Applying a wide range of industrial coatings, paints, and solvents using spray equipment, brushes, and rollers to ensure a durable, high-quality finish.
- Installing, erecting, and dismantling access platforms, scaffolding, containment systems, and safety barriers in full compliance with established safe work procedures.
- Assisting other skilled workers as needed and efficiently transitioning between different tasks as project phases progress toward completion.
- Operating and maintaining industrial equipment, such as paint pumps, blast pots, aerial lifts, and forklifts, to perform job duties safely and effectively.
- Working confidently and safely at significant heights and within tight or confined spaces, which requires focus and care.
- Ensuring all tools, equipment, and work areas are cleaned and organized, which includes cleaning manufacturing and paint equipment with solvents and power washers.
- Committing to stringent site safety by actively participating in safety meetings and adhering to all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable professional with the right skills and attitude for this demanding work environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- Completion of a formal industrial painter apprenticeship program or relevant admittance through a recognized labor union is required.
- Proven physical ability to perform demanding manual tasks, including lifting materials (50-125 lbs), climbing, and working in various postures for extended periods.
- A strong, demonstrable commitment to workplace safety, with the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and while wearing supplied air or air-purifying respirators and full protective gear.
- The capacity to work productively in a wide range of environmental conditions, from heat index exposure to cold weather.
- Excellent teamwork skills, a strong work ethic, and the reliability for prompt, on-time attendance.
- A willingness and ability to travel and work away from your primary residence for project durations.
- A successful pass of our pre-employment testing and a steadfast commitment to an alcohol and drug-free workplace.
