Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding on parts according to established manufacturing procedures, ensuring each weld meets quality and specification requirements.
- Carry out welding repair work following detailed repair instructions, restoring components to operational condition.
- Check the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) against engineering drawings to confirm the correct procedure is being used for each job.
- Read and understand process instructions with some guidance, asking questions when needed to ensure clarity.
- Operate hand tools competently, including grinders, drilling equipment, and cutting tools, as part of your daily work.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Inspect your own work to ensure it meets required standards before moving to the next stage of production or repair.
Qualifications
- You have proven experience as a welder, with the ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings accurately.
- You understand Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and can check them against drawings to ensure correct procedures are followed.
- You must be able to pass the Welder Qualifications Test, specifically Tack Welding – 2F and 3F positions.
- You’re comfortable operating hand tools including grinders, drilling machines, and cutting equipment.
- You have a basic command of English to read process instructions and communicate effectively with the team.
- You’re reliable, detail-oriented, and take pride in producing quality work consistently.
- You work well with guidance when needed but can also take initiative once you understand the task.
- You’re prepared for a 12-month contract role with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
