Dry Food New Zealand is seeking motivated Factory Hands to join their purpose-built manufacturing facility. This role offers hands-on experience processing high-value nutraceutical and functional food ingredients, turning raw materials into safe, high-quality products for international customers in the UK, North America, and Australia. Candidates will work across multiple areas of production, operate machinery, and maintain hygiene and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Communicate regularly with supervisors to address and resolve production issues
- Operate and maintain production line machinery safely and efficiently
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns using manuals, SOPs, and practical knowledge
- Follow hygiene, health, and safety rules at all times
- Process raw materials through appropriate equipment to produce finished products
- Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality control
- Perform finishing tasks including labelling, wrapping pallets, and verifying labels
- Complete production paperwork accurately and on time
- Maintain a clean workstation and production floor
- Collect and monitor product samples as required
Qualifications
- No formal degree required, but previous factory or production experience is an asset
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 20kg regularly
- Basic knowledge of the materials or commodity produced is preferred
- Practical aptitude and ability to operate diverse machinery
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of quality control techniques
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Forklift and pallet jack operator licences are an advantage but not required
- Rights to work in New Zealand
