Key Responsibilities
As a Mower Operator, you’ll play an essential role in keeping public spaces in top condition.
- Operate various ride-on mowers to mow parks, reserves, and sports fields throughout Whangamata and surrounding areas.
- Perform weed eating, edging, and push mowing to achieve a polished finish in detailed areas.
- Conduct basic maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability and performance.
- Maintain fields to the highest standards, meeting client expectations and council requirements.
- Drive a Class 2 truck to transport equipment from the depot to work sites.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications and Experience
We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, a love for the outdoors, and a commitment to high-quality work.
Essential Requirements:
- A full, current driver’s licence with manual driving capability, including both Class 1 and Class 2.
- A love for the outdoors and pride in delivering high-quality work.
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
- In line with Green by Nature’s Drug & Alcohol Policy, successful candidates will need to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Preferred (But Not Essential):
- Experience with small plant equipment or ride-on mowers.
- Basic computer and smartphone skills.
