Key Responsibilities
As a pivotal member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our market presence. Your core duties will include:
- Proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the civil construction, utilities, and related sectors.
- Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Providing expert technical sales advice and developing tailored site-based solutions for pump and power generation needs.
- Collaborating closely with our internal operations and service teams to ensure seamless project delivery and outstanding customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and account plans using our CRM systems.
- Professionally representing NZPE at customer sites, industry events, and networking functions.
- Travelling as required to support customers and develop business across our national footprint.
Qualifications
We are looking for a results-oriented professional with a blend of technical knowledge and sales acumen. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a technical sales role, preferably within the pump, generator, civil construction, or utilities sector. Experience in wastewater is highly regarded.
- A strong passion for solution-based selling and the ability to understand complex customer requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work autonomously as a self-starter while also being a collaborative team player.
- Competency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and general sales reporting.
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel for business.
