Key Responsibilities
You will be the technical linchpin for our clients’ critical identification and data capture systems. Your key focus areas will include:
- Repairing and servicing leading-brand barcode label printers and RF scanning terminals, both in-house and at customer sites.
- Providing high-quality phone and online remote technical support.
- Designing, configuring, and servicing Wi-Fi networks for data capture systems.
- Performing detailed disassembly, assembly, and diagnostics of electronic and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshooting complex hardware issues to ensure minimal customer downtime.
- Occasionally providing after-hours support as required.
Qualifications
We are looking for a customer-focused professional with a strong technical foundation. You will have:
- Electronics experience is essential, backed by a trade or tertiary qualification in electronics.
- Proven skills in electronic and mechanical fault diagnosis.
- A sound knowledge of computing, including Windows and Android operating systems.
- A minimum of 1 year’s experience in the electronic servicing industry.
- An exceptional customer service ethos and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- A current driver’s licence.
- Experience with Data Network Principles and Mobile Data Capture Hardware is a distinct advantage.
