Key Responsibilities
You will be crucial in maintaining the safety and reliability of our hire fleet and customer equipment. Your key duties will include:
- Diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on mobility scooters, power chairs, wheelchairs, electric hoists, hospital beds, and other aids.
- Providing friendly, professional service both in the Midland workshop and during off-site visits to customers’ homes.
- Taking initial service enquiries, troubleshooting issues over the phone, and scheduling jobs efficiently.
- Estimating repair costs, sourcing parts, and maintaining accurate service records and databases.
- Working a minimum of 24+ hours per week, managing your workload autonomously while upholding our high standards of quality and customer care.
Qualifications
We are looking for a practical, organised, and personable technician with the following attributes:
- General mechanical and electrical knowledge is essential.
- Shoprider certification is highly preferred, or a willingness to undertake this essential training.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and good computer proficiency.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a customer-friendly, well-presented demeanour.
- An excellent driving record and an up-to-date vaccination record.
- The ability to obtain a WA Police Clearance and an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- A reliable, self-motivated work ethic.
