Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the PCBA Supervisor, you will be the guardian of product integrity at the component and assembly level. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Conducting detailed fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of electronic components and assemblies, including complex board-level repairs.
- Executing a suite of performance, functional, and environmental tests on components, PCBs, and final products according to strict technical manuals and test plans.
- Meticulously recording test data, analysing results, and ensuring every item meets rigorous quality and performance benchmarks.
- Utilising a wide array of sophisticated test and measurement equipment with skill and precision.
- Maintaining impeccable documentation and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in our testing processes.
Qualifications
We are looking for a technician with exceptional foundational skills and the right attitude. Full training on our specific products will be provided.
- Essential: A deep, practical understanding of electrical circuits, components, and the ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Essential: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex technical troubleshooting and board-level repair work.
- Essential: An exceptional, meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy when handling intricate components and data.
- Essential: Proficiency in using electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, and soldering/desoldering tools.
- Desirable: Formal qualifications in electronics or a related field. However, candidates with proven aptitude, hands-on skill, and enthusiasm are strongly encouraged to apply.
