Key Responsibilities
As a Welder/Ironworker on their industrial projects, you will be entrusted with critical tasks that ensure structural integrity and project progress. Your core duties will include:
- Performing high-quality welding and ironworking duties in accordance with project specifications and codes.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work orders to plan and execute tasks accurately.
- Working collaboratively with the construction team to erect, assemble, and install structural steel and other metal components.
- Rigging, hoisting, and signaling for the movement of materials using cranes and other equipment.
- Adhering to and promoting the highest standards of safety on the job site at all times.
- Maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly qualified and reliable tradesperson who meets the following criteria:
- A minimum of 5 years of direct industrial welding and ironworking experience.
- Relevant and current welding certifications (specifics to be confirmed based on project requirements).
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team with strong communication skills.
- A self-motivated, proactive work ethic with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Experience with FIFO (Fly-In-Fly-Out) operations is highly advantageous.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
